In this tutorial we'll see a little about how to use the Blender game Engine.
Let's see a build of a maze and how to move inside of it.

Game Engine - Basic - Creating a  Maze
In this lesson, you will learn the Blender game engine basic commands.
The version used for this tutorial is 2.43.

- Preparing the Environment:
First, let's delete all objects on the scene. To do that, press A (all objects on your scene will be selected) then press X to delete.

Now let's create our environment. Press SPACE, Add -> Mesh -> Plane -> Left-Click

In the Edit mode, press S to scale the object, let it bigger. Now press W, Subdivide. So you'll do the plane divisions. These will be our paths on the maze.

Click on face select mode:

Now the cool thing, let's build the maze's path.

Select the faces holding SHIFT and Left-clicking them. Let always a space of one square between another square.

Well, the path is done. Let's make this environment have some height, bacause until now we had worked only with a plan. Press E to use the command Extrude Region, I used z:-0.5.

- Creating the Character:
How in this tutorial we'll show only the basic commands, our character will be a ball. Add -> Mesh -> UVsphere

Put the character at the beginning of the maze.

- Action:
Select the character and go to the Logic Menu (F4), select Actor, Dynamic. In the Wireframe mode verify if the object radius isn't bigger than itself. If this happen, change que Radius values (the same must be done if the radius is smaller than the object).

As ações devem ser as seguintes:

Now that we have the character movements, we must put a cammera following him.  To do that, add a cammera, put it on the right position, press A to unselect the objects and after select the cube and the camera, in this sequence. Press  Ctrl+P and select Make parent.

Final Steps:
The game is done. Now we must only define the end place. There we'll put a restart.
Create a cube and put it on the end of the maze.

The cube actions must be as follow:

Now it's only enjoy it! Press P and use the keypad!

See you!
