Modelling a sink Print E-mail

Let´s try to build a sink?
  • Start blender, change to the front view;
  • Press TAB to change to Edit Mode;

  • Press A once to deselect all vertices, press B once, drag a rectangle around the upper vertices to select them;

  • Hold Ctrl, left click the blue arrow and move up 4 squares (also, you can press G and Z keys);
  • Change to editing menu (F9) and add a subsurf modifier;

  • Press Z to see through the object, press A twice to select all vertices;
  • Press K (knife), choose Loop Cut, make three cuts as below;

  • Change to side view, press A once to deselect all vertices, press B, drag the left-most middle vertices;

  • Change to the top view, press S to scale and reduce its size;
  • Do the same with the top-most vertices, but increase the size, you´ll get something like this;

  • Press TAB to go to Object mode, add a new cube on the top of the object done;

  • Press S to scale it. Use X, Z and Y keys to resize only the X, Z and Y axis;
  • Add a subsurf modifier;

  • Change to side view, scale and move the object (S and G keys) and use the K key to Loop cut on the place of the picture;

  • Do one more Loop Cut on the top of the sink;
  • Change to top or cam view, select the vertices shown below, press E, ESC, S, and scale down a little the selection;

  • Press E again, ESC, G and Z and move the surface down, after click, press Z and see the result;

  • Now the object it´s ok. Hold SHIFT, right-click the two pieces and press S to scale down to see them on the cam view;

  • Change to material view (F5), do this settings and press F12 to see the result.
