For 2007 are in the roadmap a small update and the development of a great version of Blender.

The current proposal is to work on a small upgrade release first, 2.44, with a timeframe of maximum 2 months of development time (march-april). This will enable the team to fix a lot of reported 2.43 bugs, handle open patches, and do one final stable release before the next big code reconstruction projects start.
