Just Starting Out & I Did Not Get Far - 2007/10/21 04:12 I am new to Blender.
I tried installing it and I did not get far.

After I got this message, the program shut down.

Any Suggestions?

Maybe download it again.
This is the initial screen and always it´s shown before blender starts.

I thinks your copy of blender has a problem, try download it again and reinstall it.

Here is the real problem. After I click to close this window, the program shuts down.

The program is a big black window that comes up behind this smaller one. Is it supposed to be like this?

Just wait - do not close the black window down and blender will start. Welcome to the most fascinating and infuriating thing you can do in the graphic arts - 3d modelling and animation! Have fun.

But the windows stay open and black for a long time. How long is it supposed to last like this? I wonder if I still have a problem.
