Yes it´s true! The project Blender - Apricot released a playable demo!
There is still a long way to finish the job, but it´s possible control the character, jump, fly and walk around scenario.
And, of course, you can download the .blend and run the demo version.

 Using Blender´s dupliverts feature it´s easy to make big objects, fabrics and fields.
Alan Brito made reference to a tutorial "how to make dirty in blender 3d", and compared it to the enviroment in the new Pixar´s movie Wall-E.

The Contest #2 Blender Masters, helped by Novatec, will give as prize to the first place the book "Modelando Personagens com o Blender 3D", from José Fernando Reinicke.
There are prizes for second and third places, a T-Shirt with the site logo!
We already have people working on their projects and there is much time avaible: almost two months for development.
The contest is for Brasil only, but soon an international contest will be avaible, stay tuned!

Download blender 2.46 here in blender masters! I created this month a category in repository for downloads of Blender binaries.
There are versions of Blender for Windows 98 / Me / XP / Vista and Linux, including a special build for windows 98 / Me users. Every release I will publish a copy of Blender official releases.
Of course, if you would like to publish or suggest some file, just contact blender masters.
